Crafting Effective Client Conversations

Image
Delighted to demo and work hands-on with pharma reps from Sanofi at their annual conference in Las Vegas, NV. Building effective conversations starts by identifying the ingredients in that exchange. I had a ball demonstrating the 'dos and don'ts' of this with my colleague Gary at Practica Learning! We then led small workshops to make these ingredients authentic to each learner through deliberate practice. Learning by doing helps to activate concepts immediately into the learner's context so they can easily apply them to their communications at work right away.

August 2023's Mindfulness Monday: Embraceable You...Attuning to your Body or Felt Experience

Image
Celebrate the warmth of summer with a mindfulness class that introduces the first foundation of mindfulness: the Body! We will meet Monday August 21st from 7-8PM ET in the Zoom Room. The first foundation (or path) to mindfulness taught by the Buddha was mindfulness of the body. In an effort to be more inclusive, this session invites you to your felt experience as an alternative, if the body is not ready to be explored mindfully. We recognize the history that our bodies or felt experience carries, and intend to meet what's there with lovingkindness. There will be a guided body or sensory scan and discuss why the felt experience is so powerful in connecting to our deeper awareness. Trauma-sensitive guidance is offered throughout.  Drop-in classes support beginners to meditation and also those looking to deepen their practice—ALL are welcome!
